Introducing the ALARIA C6 Corvette Oversized Transmission Tunnel kit.   These were designed in house out of a need for more space in the OEM "transmission" tunnel to fit an Engine mounted gearbox and replace the vehicles rear mounted transaxle with an independent differential assembly like a Quick change rear or Ford 9" even.    These are designed to replace the OEM tunnel freeing up space for "front mounted"  transmissions, plumbing and servicing.   These require you to use the new part as a template to cut out the OEM tunnel and then weld this in yourself.  The shifter hole and surround will be left up to you based on size and location.   We normally build a separate removable piece that holds a shift boot.  

"Running an engine mounted gearbox allows you to run a more affordable 4-speed dog engagement racing gearbox like the G-force GSR vs the transaxle options that are available typically only in very expensive sequential variations. The only available dog box that we know of that is not sequential is a gearset replacement for the OEM transaxle that is not easy to service at all. Engine mounted gearboxes make it easier to service both the gearbox and the clutch in most cases also."

This panel set was designed around a G-Force GSR gearbox with a 24" shifter setback.   Other gearboxes are not guaranteed to fit but it will at least be a great start to clearance.   This setup will require modification to exhaust and fabrication of a transmission crossmember of course.
